No matter how far away from home I am, how sad, how lonely (as long as I am in a fairly metropolitan city) I know, I can be sure— that there is always a friendly face at LUSH. There’s always the same familiar soothing floral aroma. There are always the same brightly-colored sparkly balls of soapy goodness. LUSH is truly a home away from home. And today as I wandered the streets of Moscow alone I stumbled upon the lush store on Solyanka. Thank goodness! I decided tonight to treat myself in my post-breakup lethargy to a nice bubble bath. For this task my senses aptly selected 2 new bath bomb flavors:
Uplifting berry burst of goodness
If you spend too much time thinking “If only?” you’ll just sink deeper into your own furrow. Get out of your funk and enjoy yourself with a legendary Blackberry bath! For over 3,000 years the rich, famous and spiritual used frankincense to help them connect with the present. Add in a dash of uplifting bergamot and bountiful berries and you’ve got a bath to help you enjoy life.
Delicious vanilla crème brûlée satisfies sweet tooths
When Mo, LUSH founder and product creator extraordinaire, presents a new bath bomb at a team meeting, she fills a bowl with warm water, drops the bomb in, and then sends it around the room for everyone to smell. With Vanilla Fountain, no one wanted to let go of the bowl and pass it on. Its comforting vanilla scent comes from natural vanilla absolute (the posh stuff made from real vanilla pods) with a touch of restful sandalwood and a note of burnt caramel. Inspired by decadent French desserts, Vanilla Fountain makes a perfect post-meal bath. Indulge without guilt.
Both are vegan and both are going to rock my world.
Also- you can always count on the pleasant customer service at lush-
-never overbearing, just informative- when I told the girl in the shop that I was a student of Russian and in a daze because everything was so familiar and yet I had never read product descriptions like these in Russian- she gave me a quick lesson in soap terminology and insisted that I study the LUSH catalogue on the metro, which I did.
And now ladies and gentleman- I am ready to indulge.
AND WHO SAID I’M NOT EASILY INFLUENCED??? I read lovely Alina’s blog the other day and thought, “Wow, that’s cool,” but nothing really of it. Then as I was walking past Lush on 14th Street yesterday, I was magnetically pulled in and bought the vanilla bath bom and a choclate bubble bath bar and had the best bath of my life last night. I thought it was a good step to starting my new life. So is the new planner I bought and the running routine I’ve imposed upon myself. We’ll see…
